BIO

Alex Romano brings extensive experience and passion to her role as a primary trainer at the Matrix Training Institute, where she leads the Circuit Court Mediation Training Course. With years of hands-on mediation experience, Alex is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court, County, and Family Mediator. Her unique background, including trying over 50 cases as an attorney and being deeply involved in business development and mediation at Matrix, allows her to provide students with practical, real-world insights.

Alex is dedicated to living the vision set forth by Rodney Romano, owner of Matrix Mediation and the Matrix Training Institute: creating a world where mediation is pursued not as an escape from the grind of litigation, but as a full-time, meaningful career focused on helping people resolve their disputes. This philosophy drives her training approach, as she encourages students to enter the field with the mindset of building a fulfilling and impactful profession.

Her passion for improving mediation training stems from the belief that mediators should not only meet certification requirements but also understand the nuances of mediation as both a profession and a business. Her approachable teaching style and commitment to excellence help prepare future mediators to navigate complex disputes with confidence and competence.

In addition to her role as a trainer, Alex is a full-time mediator and Director at Matrix Mediation, where she continues to shape the future of mediation in Florida.
